How to Measure Your Lawn
Get an accurate lawn area in square metres in under a minute using satellite imagery — no measuring tape required.
Why measure your lawn accurately?
Applying lawn products without knowing your exact area means guessing — you'll either over-apply and damage your lawn, or under-apply and achieve no results. Fertiliser, weed killers, seed and pest treatments all come with application rates per square metre. With an accurate measurement, you'll know exactly how much to apply to your yard.
Step-by-step
Enter your address
Start typing your address in the search box on the lawn measurement tool below. Pick yours from the autocomplete suggestions and the satellite map will load, centred on your property.
Click "Start drawing"
Hit the Start drawing button. Your cursor changes to a crosshair, telling you the tool is ready to drop points around your lawn.
Trace your lawn perimeter
Click each corner of your lawn on the satellite image. The first point shows in orange — the rest in green. For curved edges, drop a few extra points along the way for accuracy. Zoom in (scroll wheel or +/-) for fine detail.
Close the shape
Click your first (orange) point again, or hit the Finish drawing button. The polygon fills green and your measured area appears in square metres below the map.
Fine-tune if needed
Drag any point to adjust the boundary — the square metre count updates instantly. Hit Clear to start the measurement over.
Once you have your number, head to any product page or our application calculators to find the right size for your lawn.
